Longer Leader air handling unit (AHU) air flow range is from 9,000m3/h to 110,000m3/h, and heat capacity is from 25kw to 2000kw. Dry coolers are relatively simple appliances consisting of two main component parts: air-to-liquid heat exchangers and fan blowers. Normally, used fans are of axial type, and heat exchangers are finned pack coils or, for small or medium systems, microchannel coils.
As closed-circuit systems, dry coolers deliver several benefits compared to wet cooling towers, including lower initial costs and maintenance, improved system reliability, and increased uptime.
